COZUMEL’S MAYAN HERITAGE BY JEEP

Have fun while you tour the Island of Cozumel aboard your vehicle! First, we will visit our Anémona de Mar beach club, here you can practice snorkeling (optional) and enjoy our spectacular fine sand beach. In this same place, we offer you delicious Mexican food which includes bottled water; fresh flavored waters, and a couple of beers, if you’re not the one driving. Later, aboard our vehicle, we will move to the Celarain Lighthouse, where from the top, you will be able to obtain privileged views of the Caribbean Sea and the Colombia Lagoon. Or if you prefer, you can visit the small maritime museum located in this same place. We will also visit the “El Caracol” ruin and visit Laguna Colombia to see crocodiles in their habitat. We continue to the wonderful Pueblo del Maíz, here we will transport you in time through the smells, flavors, colors, and interaction in the daily life, culture, and traditions of the Mayan communities in pre-Hispanic times.

At the end of the day, you will have a short time to walk around the center of the island and take some photographs. At the end of the day, we will board the ferry that will take us back to Playa del Carmen, where our vans will be waiting for you to take you back to your hotel. If you start the adventure in Cozumel, at the end of the activity we will return to your hotel.

INCLUDES: Vehicle, bilingual guide, snorkeling equipment, Mexican lunch, and 2 beers per person.

NOT INCLUDED: Dishes outside the buffet, cocktails or sodas, or tips.

RESTRICTIONS: Pregnant women or women with surgeries less than 6 months cannot take the tour. Snorkeling is not recommended for people with severe heart problems, back problems, diabetes, asthma or epilepsy. Within Punta Sur, being an ecological reserve, the use of sunscreen is not permitted and smoking is not permitted.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Present a valid and physical driver’s license, swimsuit, towel, and cash for purchases.

Take these times into account if you come from Riviera Maya:

Pick up: From 7:00 a.m. in Cancun and starting at 8 a.m. in Riviera Maya. Cross on the ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel at 10:00 a.m. Return to the Cozumel pier to board the ferry to Playa del Carmen at 7:00 p.m. When we arrive in Playa del Carmen we will board the vans to return to the hotel at 7:45 p.m.
